‘Female Masturbation’, much like female sexual pleasure, is almost never talked about and thus, never romanticized. In this series of aluminum and hand-painted wood brooches, I want to show the beauty behind the ‘unthinkable act’. Three female figures overflowing with little hearts and flowers, like cartoon characters falling in love – in this case, they fall in love with themselves.
